Sandy Weisto started singing and playing guitar in high school playing both traditional and contemporary folk. After discovering Milwaukee Irish Fest in 1983 and being inspired by groups such as Green Fields of America she began to incorporate Irish ballads and acapella songs into her sets. She helped bring Uillean piper Tim Britton to Milwaukee for two concerts in the late '80s. She also performs with the women's folk trio, Sweet Diversity. Since 1997 she has been a sound person for acoustic venues around Milwaukee including Cafe Caffeine, The Coffee House and The Miramar Theatre. A stint doing sound for Bantry Bay and joining them on an occasional guest song led to her joining the group.
